Detailed Day Wise Itinerary Ladakh Lakes & Passes 7N 8D Tour Package

• Day : 1 Leh Arrival (11,000 ft.) + Leh Palace + Shanti Stupa + Local Market

  Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpoche airport Leh situated at 11,000 ft. above sea level. Meet and greet with our company representative who will transfer you to hotel. Half day rest for acclimatization as the weather in Ladakh is always cold round the year. Evening visit Leh palace, a nine storey historical Palace of the king of Ladakh. Later visit Shanti stupa, symbol of peace built by Japanese is a unique on its own and provides a bird eye view of the town. Evening have a stroll at the local market. You can buy locan handicrafts and pashmina shawls. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day : 2 Leh – Sham Valley (Hall of Fame + Spituk Monastery + Pathar Sahib Gurudwara + Magnetic Hill + Sangam)

  After breakfast move on Srinagar highway for the day sightseeing. Visit Hall of Fame, army museum and witness the stories and weapons of martyrs used in Kargil war and other historical wars fought in Ladakh region. Visit Spituk monastery, 15th century gonpa. Drive to Pathar Sahib gurudwara built in 1517 by Buddhist monks during the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. Don’t forget to enjoy hot tea at gurudwara. Later visit Magnetic Hill which defies Law of Gravity. Visit confluence of Indus & zanskar rivers known as sangam. Drive back to hotel.Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day : 3 Leh – Nubra Valley(130 kms, 5 hrs) via Khardungla Pass (18, 380 ft.)

  After breakfast, drive to Nubra valley via Khardungla pass, the highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy the magnificient view of the snow caped mountains and scenic beauty. Reach Nubra valley, the highest colde desert in the world. Checkin to your camp in Hundar Village. Evening visit the famous sand dunes, and enjiy the Bactrian camel ride(on your own). Back to camps later. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

• Day : 4 Nubra – Turtuk (2-3 hrs., 85 kms )

  After breakfast drive to Turtuk village which falls under Gilgit Baltistan region.People speak Balti and Urdu here and is majority of Muslim community as this village was in Pakistan before the historical Indo - Pak war of 1971. As it is on a low height frpm Leh, you can see green fields which produce fresh apricots and apples. Visit the Indo Pak border at Thang village from where the POK begins. Enjoy the lunch at the last restaurant at Indo Pak border (on your own). Drive back to Nubra in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

• Day : 5 Nubra – Pangong Tso(14,000 ft.) via Shyok River(8 hrs., 240 Kms) + Diskit Monastery

  After breakfast, checkout from the camp and visit Diskit Monastery where you will witness the 106 ft. high Maitreya Budha statue. Later drive to Pangong via Shyok river and enjoy the breathtaking mountains and clear waters of shyok river. Reach Pangong and enjoy the magnificient blue colored crystal clear salt water lake. Later move to the camps. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

• Day : 6 Pangong Tso – Tsomoriri (220 kms, 6- 7hrs)

  Wake up in the morning to witness the magnficient sunrise at Pangong lake. After breakfast, checkout from the camp and drive along with the beautiful pangong lake via Chushul and Merek villages. Visit Chushul monastery. Chushul is the last village where Indian army and China army have the BPM(Border personnel meeting). From long way we can see the army post as civilians are not allowed nearby. Later drive towards Karzok via Loma and cross Mahe bridge. Visit Sundo village enroute and after 50 kms. You reach at Tsomoriri. It is famous for bird watching and is home for various rare bird species which also include a lot of water birds. Bar headed goose, Ruddy Sheldrake & crested greb are onf those birds. This lake is 28kms long and 8 kms wide. Visit Korzok village and spend quality time near the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

• Day : 7 Tsomoriri – Tsokar – Tanglang La Pass (5,332 mtrs.) - Leh(220 kms,6-7 hrs)

  Wake up in the morning to witness the magnficient sunrise at Tsomoriri lake. After breakfast, checkout from the camp and drive to Leh.Witness beautiful Puga valley enroute. Visit famous Tsokar lake at an altitude of 4,000 mtrs. Later keep driving to leh via Tanglang La Pass, the second highest motorable pass in the world after Khardungla Pass. Reach Leh and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day : 8 Airport Departure

  After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drop at airport for the onward journey. Laeve with beautiful memories of Ladakh.
